Exploration of Perception, Need and Barriers against Pharmacovigilance and Adverse Drug Reactions Reporting: Healthcare Professionals’ Insight

Objective: The present study was designed to assess the perception, need and barriers of PV ADRs reporting in hospital settings Karachi, Pakistan.
 Methods: A cross-sectional survey conducted from October 2019 February 2020 by random sampling healthcare professionals including physicians, pharmacists nurses. Questionnaire distributed 525 participants (n=175 each group) being serving for one or more year hospitals clinics. Overall, 425 were responded having 138 143 145 nurses.
 Results: Perception pharmacovigilance found be 81.02%, 73.40% 35.17% respectively 80.70% respondents felt drug monitoring system improve patients’ responses against treatment. main hindrance our society lacking/ absence marked physicians pharmacists.
 Conclusion: are not practiced properly region. It’s a time pay attention this neglected area only strengthen infra structure units but also increase patient compliance avoid any associated disaster future.
